A lifelong seeker.
A lifelong seeker, I found Eastern spirituality, shamanism, and mysticism in my early teen years, when plant medicines found their way into my life. Determined to find order in a world that was otherwise chaotic, I dove headfirst into all things that connected me to purpose, spirit, and development.
Not yet ready to fully embark on my healer’s quest, I found myself studying psychology at a local university, where I grounded some of my knowing in modern principles. During that time, I discovered visionary art and channeled my visions into artwork.
Losing my way. Finding a way back.
Through these years, I entered into a deep and dark cycle of addiction and depression. On the brink of taking my own life, I decided there was an inner longing I was ignoring. In that moment, I determined I must find out what was missing, what was wrong, and how I could escape.
Deciding to put away the tools that once served me, I left the plant medicines in search of a new path forward. There, I found a psychobiotic diet, fasting, detox, deep meditation, breathwork, cold exposure, men’s work, ecstatic dance, and more.
I embarked on multiple 10-day silent Vipassana retreats, meditating for hundreds of hours in solitude. I learned to fast for days on end. I made elixirs and potions to heal the body and thus the mind, built a cold plunge, and endeavoured to return to my humanness.
Learning to share what I’ve learned.
Since then, I have guided thousands of students through various meditation sessions. I have guided sauna Aufguss sessions for groups of up to 90 people at a time, assisted on plant medicine retreats, and spoken to audiences in recovery about my story of addiction.
